"When my wife and I got married in September of 2019, we agreed on pretty much everything in the planning process except one thing: band or DJ? I was Team DJ, however our compromise was “why not both?”
Early in the planning process we were having brunch at Tanner Smiths, where luckily The Nightwatch is a mainstay. We grabbed a table next to the band, which we thought would provide nice background music, but instead grabbed our attention and set off a lightbulb for both of us: this was the band!
Andrew was our point person and could not have been more professional and accommodating, while also feeling like an old friend. Meeting up to discuss our preferred types of music, day-of logistics, etc. were some of my favorite parts of the planning process.
On the day of the wedding, they made a potentially tricky logistical situation seamless, setting up and playing our cocktail hour on one floor of our venue, before playing throughout the first dance/dinner with a quick turnaround.
Of course, musically, they were incredible. Each member of the band is so talented and Stephany’s vocals blew people away. For our first dance they covered “Always Remember Us This Way” by Lady Gaga, which got rave reviews from all of our guests. Their smooth transitions from old classics to contemporary stuff created the perfect vibe for our very eclectic collection of family and friends.
Whatever your event is, I strongly recommend The Nightwatch. Get out to one of their regular gigs in NYC to check them out for yourself, I’ll probably be there too."

“ The Nightwatch was a dream come true to play at our wedding! We cannot recommend them highly enough! Having a live band at our wedding was a non-negotiable and they did not disappoint. They were on time, exceptionally talented musicians, kept the energy high for the whole event, announced the wedding party like we were royalty, and played our special song requests to perfection. Even when the father-daughter dance ended earlier than expected they followed like the professionals they are.
Andrew was extremely communicative with me (bride) about expectations, songs, and how the evening would flow. We had a smaller size guest list of 65, and all night there were 65 people out on the dance floor — nobody wanted to stop! A year and a half later we are still receiving comments on how good the music was. This day was over-the-top memorable because of The Nightwatch — we would do it all over again in a heartbeat!”

"We booked The Nightwatch for our 2021 wedding after listening to Andrew and Stephany perform in Manhattan. From the first time we heard them play, we knew they would be the perfect fit for our reception. They had us dancing immediately and exhibited an impressive range - from top 40, to rap, to classic rock, to R&B.
We cannot say enough positive things about working with The Nightwatch leading up to our wedding. During our calls, Andrew carefully listened to us to understand the vibe and type of set list we were envisioning. He truly went above and beyond in helping us plan, providing insight on reception flow, announcements, etc.
Unsurprisingly, The Nightwatch was a huge hit at our wedding! The dance floor was packed all night long, and we received compliments from so many of our guests. The band even took the time to learn our first dance song, "Loving You Easy" by Zac Brown Band, and listening to them play it for us remains a meaningful memory to this day. Their 90s jams and "Hora Medley" were also big hits :)
In addition to being outstanding musicians, the members of The Nightwatch are incredible humans. They were especially compassionate and flexible when COVID forced us to postpone our wedding date, and so supportive throughout the entire planning process. "You guys absolutely crushed it. I of course knew you would crush it, but you guys really blew me away with your live energy. Everyone from my college buddies to Grace's oldest relatives loved the music and it keeps popping up as one of people's favorite things about the wedding. A few of my favorites were "You Shook Me All Night Long", "Mary Jane's Last Dance", "I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles)", "Ramble On", and "Shallow". And I can't stress enough how happy I was to not have to hear the same songs you hear at every wedding, like "Happy", "Shake It Off", or "Uptown Funk".
I also want to specifically thank you guys for nailing the specific songs I'd requested. Grace and I had a blast dancing to Like a Hurricane, and your version was precisely the energy/tempo we had in mind. And I'm not exaggerating when I say dancing with my mom to "Renegade" was an out of body experience. And the acoustic instrumentals were perfect and really set the stage for a beautiful ceremony. I also really appreciated getting too DJ the set breaks and noticed/enjoyed hearing those Spotify playlists pop up throughout the night.
One final thank you for being so easy to work with and just fully understanding the vibe I was going for from day one. It was an absolute pleasure working with you.

All things musical were really such a highlight of the day and night for us, and thank you for making that happen. Charlie has truly been dreaming about the music specifically at our wedding for years (long before engagement!), and I can't thank you enough for bringing his (and our) vision to life!
There are so many moments from the day I will never forget, but walking down the aisle to your lovely rendition of Harvest Moon was a particularly special one for me.

"I just wanted to chime in and add my thanks to you and your band for being the BEST wedding band ever!!! We got soooooo many, many compliments -- on everything from your rendition of “Renegade” and “Shallow” to “I’m Gonna Be” (500 Miles) and a Led Zeppelin song that your female singer KILLED! Of course, Charlie did an incredible job with his musical attention to detail on what songs he wanted (and didn’t) and Amy was AMAZING on all the planning and day of logistics but hat’s off to you guys for really executing Charlie’s vision! So many guests said they have NEVER seen a dance floor that crowded for that long – it was just too much fun! And as truly amazing as the music under the tent was, I am still thinking about the beautiful music during the walled garden ceremony – from your impromptu and perfectly timed rendition of “here comes the sun” to the beautiful “Harvest Moon” as my husband walked our daughter down the aisle. Stunning!!! The music really made the party.
